About Us Nurturing children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age ___________________________________________________________________
Explore & Develop Wamberal, Long Day Care and Preschool, conveniently located on the corner of Tumbi Road and Wilwendan Close, is privately family owned and operated. Our aim is to welcome you and your child to what we trust will become an extension of your home.
There are many unusual features for families utilizing our Centre, which we feel confident sets our Centre apart from others on the Central Coast. We have created a fantastic environment that will make the children excited to arrive at Explore & Develop. Our extremely large outdoor play area has many special areas of interest planned to promote exploration and learning as well as encourage enjoyment in outdoor physical activity. On researching the value of a natural play space our yard plans changed from the `normal' to the extraordinary. With a very large play space set in a `rural' type setting surrounded by trees, we have built on that feeling, and have designed a garden which will allow our children to have the benefit of this precious connection to the natural world, one of the most important tools for young children.
Our Children's Garden will inspire children with the following areas -

We aim to have a higher than required staff to child ratio in our 0-2 year rooms, for better continuity of care and small carer groupings. Our Centre is has 5 separate playrooms, designed to meet the different needs of the children within each age grouping, rather than one large room catering for children aged from 2-5 years. Great attention has been given to the look and feel of these playrooms, and resources provided, to create an excitement and enthusiasm for play and learning, so much so that we are sure Explore & Develop Wamberal will soon become your child's favourite home away from home.
We will work closely with the Department of Children’s Services, and the National Childcare Accreditation Council, along with the support of the Explore & Develop Franchise, so that we can offer the highest level of service. All staff undergo a Working with Children check and will hold current First Aid Certificates.
A nutritional balanced menu is provided for children daily, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. Please feel free to discuss any allergies or dietary concerns with us.
